If you are looking for an all out heavyweight slugfest, then Godzilla: King Of The Monsters is your ticket to all out destruction and carnage. It’s epic.
Ever since Godzilla returned to our screens back in 2014, I only wanted two things from it. Monster action, which we got, and a sequel where he and his fellow kaiju, foes and allies alike, battling it out for supremacy. Godzilla: King Of The Monsters did not disappoint. Everything about the movie is clear from the outset with human characters dealing with the aftermath of Godzilla’s battle against the MUTO’s, seeking revenge, those who sought to destroy him, wanting to restore the natural order of things, whilst others seeking a way to coexist with the hero… or anti-hero.
Visually the film is stunning from the way it stayed faithful to the Toho Co creatures design and characteristics, down to the surrounding landscape that would become the arenas of destruction, and the original Godzilla theme.
Whether you are a fan of Godzilla himself, King Ghidorah, Mothra, or Rodan you will enjoy this spectacle, with references to King Kong. Go and watch it. The battles are seismic. I’m looking forward to the next installment. Godzilla vs King Kong.
