In Shazam, DC have finally made a superhero movie for all the family. It’s funny, action packed, moving, and has a proper villain that loves a good old speech. You don’t have to know the whole backstory of Shazam, but you’ll love him. The film is packed with Justice League references, hinting at something big in the future as well as possible sequels. If DC keep stick with the formula that made Shazam enjoyable, they’ll redeem themselves many times over after some shambolic offerings in Justice League, Wonder Woman, and Dawn of Justice. The credit roll is probably the best you’ll ever see in any movie. Rating? 6 out of 7 deadly sins
